IDT AUDIO CODEC WINDOWS 7 64 BIT UNAVAILABLE HOW TO
I'm stumped on how to troubleshoot this because the output is ffine when I import an. What I am having trouble with is when I record a drum track then play it back through the laptop speakers or powered desktop speakers it sounds very distorted and crappy. Well, now I have an Alienware m17x R3 laptop and I did everything the same as far as installing Audacity version 1.3.13 and using the same mic. It used to be available via FTP from the HP site, but no longer appears to be. The download file for the driver is SP66216.exe. All is fine now (no clean install of Windows or anything else needed). My problem is the audio playback quality really sucks! I was using a Dell Inspiron 17R laptop and a USB microphone (PS3 Rock Band mic haha) and I plugged it in and voila, great sound from my whole drum set! I was quite impressed with the quality actually. I ended up hunting down v.0 of the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC driver and installed that. Hey everyone, I am new to the forum but I have used Audacity regularly in the past.
